Is adding a new folder without a description necessary to reproduce this? It
seems to me that any folder thats created gets created in the currently selected
folders parent (ie above the selected folder).
And we're talking about the left menu tree view, correct?

yea correct but this occure both side left & right
It doesn't matter whether you leave it named as New Folder or not for the
purposes of reproduction. I named mine 'test' and 'test2'. It doesn't make the
folder a child of the currently selected folder whether it is selected through
the left or the right handed folder trees. It always makes the new folders at
the 'root' level of the bookmarks tree, or that is the way it appears anyhow.
That is definitely not correct behavior, and could come to be quite an annoyance
were you to be making multiple folders rather deep in the tree structure.
Mid-air collisions, joy!
