If I select the junk filter to move to a second account, the email loses it's
junk mail status. I havn't confirmed with POP3, but it is there with IMAP
I have confirmed this is only with Junk mail and not filters in general.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create two accounts (A & B)
Set A to move all junk mail to the junk folder on B
Get sent Spam to account A
Watch junk mail be moved into junk folder on B
Email is not marked Junk
What should happen:
Mail should retain junk status.

Ref discussion in bug 222068:
I still find that Junk status is lost when the mail is auto-moved (probably manually J'd too) to my IMAP junk account. This is with XP Pro SP2 and Thunderbird 1.5. My mail provider runs Courier IMAP. I have limited myself to 1 IMAP connection per account and convinced my account provider to raise the number of simultaneous permitted IMAP connections to 8, by the way.
This unfortunately goes against the claim that the problem has been fixed in 1.5 referenced above (bug 222068).
Alan
Further to the above, even if I use 'user_pref("mail.server.server1.markAsReadOnSpam", true);' in prefs.js, as suggested in bug 253234, I get the following:
New spam arrives. Junk controls fail to identify it.
I mark it manually as spam, which moves it to a separate IMAP account.
In the new account, the (now marked as read) email is marked as read but not as spam.
A systray "envelope" icon appears to notify me that I have new mail in my junk folder -- even though the folder contains no unread mail.

As stated in Bug 333139 I think this is a more general problem with IMAP status flags for copied or moved message to another IMAP server account.
So please set the dependency to Bug 333139. In order to follow Bugzilla Etiquette 2.1 I haven't done it myself.

does this work for you in 2.0 nightly or trunk builds? If so, it's a dup of bug 360463 (or at least was fixed by a patch in that bug)

Doesn't work for me using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1pre) Gecko/20061204 Thunderbird/2.0b1 ID:2006120403.
Or rather,
IMAP -> another IMAP server ok
IMAP -> POP ok
POP -> IMAP fail:(
