User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050323 Firefox/1.0.2 Fedora/1.0.2-1.3.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050323 Firefox/1.0.2 Fedora/1.0.2-1.3.1 I have received a mail with an attachment that gets corrupted when saved to disk. The file (JNCA REVIEW FORM.doc) should be 1155584 bytes long and have an MD5 sum of c1e3c49ef007da9600d2a832bfad4fb6. When I save the attachment from PINE, the file is saved OK, I therefore guess that the problem rests with Firefox and not the mail itself. I will try to attach the mail to this report, I do not see a form field to do so right now but presume Bugzilla will allow that later. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Just try to save the attached file from the mail that accompanies this bug report. Actual Results: The saved file is 1141240 bytes long and has an MD5 sum of 6b987ec58f0dd19759930c5245a9ce78. Expected Results: The saved file should be 1155584 bytes long and have an MD5 sum of c1e3c49ef007da9600d2a832bfad4fb6.
The mail is too big to be attached. I have made it available for download at http://nenya.ms.mff.cuni.cz/~ceres/tmp/FailedAttachment.eml.bz2.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
