User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050323 Firefox/1.0.2 Fedora/1.0.2-1.3.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050323 Firefox/1.0.2 Fedora/1.0.2-1.3.1 For some reason - broken java rpms - there is a fault that makes firefox to crash when showing java applets. I reinstalled rpms, now, from sun site and no longer I have the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install rpms for java 1.4.2 for fc3 2. open a page with java applets in firefox Actual Results: Running in terminal with --g-fatal-warnings gave me this: Java process: caught exception from sun.plugin.navig.motif.Plugin.start Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /usr/lib/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Unknown Source) at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(Unknown Source) at sun.security.action.LoadLibraryAction.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.awt.Toolkit.loadLibraries(Unknown Source) at java.awt.Toolkit.<clinit>(Unknown Source) at java.awt.Color.<clinit>(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin.navig.motif.Plugin.start(Unknown Source) INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not read ack from child process System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable Expected Results: I expect not to loose my work and/or a more graceful message - simply, firefox not to crash is ok!
