For some reason - broken java rpms - there is a fault that makes firefox to
crash when showing java applets. I reinstalled rpms, now, from sun site and no
longer I have the problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install rpms for java 1.4.2 for fc3
2. open a page with java applets in firefox
Actual Results:
Running in terminal with --g-fatal-warnings gave me this:
Java process: caught exception from sun.plugin.navig.motif.Plugin.start
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
/usr/lib/jre/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory

at sun.plugin.navig.motif.Plugin.start(Unknown Source)
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not read ack from child process
System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable
Expected Results:
I expect not to loose my work and/or a more graceful message - simply, firefox
not to crash is ok!
