But once you encapsulate these elements in a <p> then they sieze to jiggle, so basically, content that is encapsulated in <p>s will not show this behaviour. Reproducible: Always

So basically we get flicker when overflow to the left/top happens... Seeing this on Linux too.

It's annoying but it doesn't cause any real problems so I think we'll pass on this for now. It will probably go away with the changes that will happen in 1.9

Maybe this is the same as bug 296491, which does show a significant problem. If so I'll fix it when I fix 296491...
