User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Ynet is the most popular general news site in Israel. On its main window there's a news ticker - an iframe that displays scrolling news. This ticker (I opened it's URL, http://www.ynet.co.il/Ext/Comp/Ticker/Dhtml_Ticker/0,10016,L-184,00.html, in a seperate window to isolate it) uses JavaScript, and takes about 80% of the CPU on my machine (a 2.2Ghz mobile celeron) in Firefox, but only about 50% in IE. Its JS clearly does something wrong, but Firefox should not be worse than IE in this. As a workaround, I'm currently using Adblock to hide this iframe. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
