User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050623 Firefox/1.0+ Trying to download a file from a directory of a ftp-server, firefox shows the error: "C:\docume~1\username\locale~1\TEMP\bcfo2cno.exe could not be saved, because the sourcefile could not be read. Immediately after this appears a window with "error 426". This began in the 20050622 trunk nightly, same thing in 20050623 build. Earlier versions and the Deer Park 1.1a release work normally on the same win2k system. Downloading via right click menu "save file as" works normally, this appears only via direct click on the file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a directory on a ftp-server using a ftp://url. 2. Click on a file which is not shown in the browser-window to download. 3. Actual Results: 1.error: "C:\docume~1\username\locale~1\TEMP\bcfo2cno.exe could not be saved, because the sourcefile could not be read. 2. error 426 Expected Results: Open the explorer window to set the download destination folder. Or: Begin with the download showing the download manager window.
Bug 298599 is similiar, bur without the error windows.

This is a recent regression for all downloads, not just ftp. Right clicking and choosing save is the only workaround right now. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 298478 ***
