Details

STR - 1. Select a message 2. Use File->Save As->File to save the message The message appers as a generic document, not a Thunderbird document. Double-clicking on it causes the Finder's general "choose application" dialog. Presumably, we need to be doing something to tell the OS to associate .eml documents with Thunderbird.
Confirmed with latest trunk. Bug 261559 only fixed the issue for MAPI clients (Winblows).
Marcia is seeing this on Linux as well. Thunderbird needs to be registering the .eml extension on these platforms as well.
