User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050513 Fedora/1.0.4-1.3.1 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050513 Fedora/1.0.4-1.3.1 Firefox/1.0.4 I read my mail from two different machines, my laptop and my workstation. If my workstation notices two new messages in my PERSONAL folder, it shows up bold with (2) next to it. Now if I go to my laptop and read those messages (thus no longer new) and then refresh on the workstation, the PERSONAL folder is still bold even though the (2) is gone and there are no new messages in the folder. Thus I have to go click on each bolded folder to get the bold to go away. With close to 100 folders, this gets annoying real fast. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Two computers running thunderbird, pointed at same IMAP account 2.New email waiting in a test folder. 3."Get Mail" on each client, so each shows the folder bolded with a message count 4.Read mail in that folder on first client, thus turning off new flag on message(s) 5.Hit "Get Mail" on second client. It notices the messages are read and clears the message count, but leaves the folder bolded anyway. Actual Results: Folder is still bold even though there are no unread messages in the folder. Expected Results: The folder should no longer be bold.
And/or related to bug 201917 comment 14?
Sure, this is exactly the same as bug #227205 comment #3 - do you want this tracked a separate bug or as a comment in another bug? As to 201917 comment #14 - I went ahead and tried that and it didn't fix the issue, so I don't think it's related. Thx.
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Thunderbird/1.5.0.2 ID:2006030803 I can confirm this still exists. Same situation as bug 277205 comment 3 and comment 1 here. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Thunderbird with an IMAP account on machine 1 2. Start Thunderbird with same IMAP account on machine 2 3. Receieve new mail in IMAP folder. 4. Folder on machine 1 displays bold folder with (1) next to it 5. Folder on machine 2 displays bold folder with (1) next to it 6. Read message on machine 1. Folder is no longer bold. Unread count goes away. 7. Machine 2 unread count goes away. Folder stays bold. Actual Results: Folder on machine 2 is still bold even though there are no unread messages in the folder. Expected Results: Folder on machine 2 should un-bold the folder in addition to removing the unread message count. Has there been any progress here since July '05?
sorry for bug spam. Also affects Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051201 Thunderbird/1.5 ID:2005120115

This now works for me in version 2.0
(In reply to comment #3) > Sure, this is exactly the same as bug #277205 comment #3 FWIW that bug was duped to bug 291465
