The window size of the Camino dmg is too small (still), and the new background image is also cut off (the old one was not cut off because there was a vertical scrollbar), so part of the intent of bug 180837 is still unfixed.

The status bar shouldn't be there. It's causing the problem because it forces the window content to shift down by its height, but the window bounds aren't adjusted to compensate. I tested this on 10.2.8, 10.3.9, 10.4.2, and even 10.1.5 during development - and I just retested on all of the above. There's a problem with disabled scrollbars being drawn on 10.1 and 10.2, but that's not what you're seeing. Once I killed the status bar (in the .DS_Store), I haven't seen it at all. All of the tested environments except for the 10.4 one were "virgin" - might there be something peculiar to your environment?

Show/hide status bar seems to be global, not per-window/.DS_Store-modifiable--at least that's what it seems on 10.3.9.

Indeed, you seem to be right. What an odd situation. I'll get a new .DS_Store in that bumps the window size.

I'm waiting to toss the same stone at this one as at bug 305717, for which a new .DS_Store will be needed as well.
