Additional, some windows like Download-manager should have a minimum-size (a size which is the minimum to which user can size that window, because smaller sizes would hide elements in that window!) Border is fixed - window can't be changed in size. In some cases, it's not necessary to change size - because the content isn't bigger. I hope, you understand me :)

But I don't want to change it, because it is not necessary in some cases. So, border should be "undragable" in these cases. But I think, you guys will do this in next weeks without this bug-report

any news about this enhancement ?

If anything, this would improve platform integration on GTK. Every other GTK program has a minimum size which arises naturally from the contents and layout of its widgets, ensuring that nothing is ever cut off or hidden.

while looking for a solution to this, I found http://www.mozdev.org/pipermail/project_owners/2005-November/006357.html hopefully that helps the next guy looking for a solution. neil, should we make this a toolkit bug?

The feature to allow dialogs to do this has been implemented (see bug 357725), and the image properties and downloads windows have gone, so marking as INVALID. Please file new bugs if there are specific dialogs that are still problematic, and reference bug 357725. Thanks!
