The first example should have a margin-right of 50px inside the black bordered box, that is something that happens in Mozilla1.7, but not in current trunk build.

I think this is indeed bug 47710. How serious is this?
Probably not too serious, I guess. I filed this only because this is something that has regressed between Mozilla1.7/Mozilla1.8.
I'm surprised this worked before, given bug 47710.

Best to leave this bug in its current state for now. We can revisit when we (or the CSS WG) decide how to address bug 47710.
