User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pl-PL; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pl-PL; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 I have observation for Novell GroupWise 6,5. I find system collision between GroupWise 6,5 and Mozilla (www.mozilla.org). I noticed that after installed Mozilla, GroupWise can't properly start, install or deinstall. It's showing messages that file packing.lst is wrong or damaged. I noticed that Mozilla change file mapi_32.dll (about 600kB) for new file (about 6kB), but old file is renamed as mapi_32_moz.dll. To restore property work of GroupWise it's necessary to rename 6kB file to another and restore filename old file. Then GroupWise work properly. (I don't know what will be change in Mozilla work, but now Mozilla work properly I think). There is source of this problem http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?10011548.htm If my notice is useless please forget it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install GroupWise 2. Install Mozilla 3. Restart system 4. Try run GroupWise, deinstali it or install it. Actual Results: It's showing message error with "packing.lst" file error. Expected Results: Software should be more compatible to standard file mapi_32.dll. It's only GroupWise packing.lst problem, nothing else.
erm. i can't remember if we're shipping the standard well behaved mapi32.dll. Novell certainly doesn't claim that their version is proper, which doesn't give me much confidence in their product. i believe the same instructions they list for nc4.5 beta should apply to Mozilla, if they don't, please indicate that and we can alter this bug to address that deficiency.
