P.s. I am not the original reporter of this bug but tried to report it to find it had partly been reported and completed this form (Stage 2). My email address is Pauldvf@yahoo.com if you need any further information. Paul Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Dry dowloading a file 2.Tick it 3.See if the Dialoque box comes back or automatically downloads Actual Results: Don't automatically download Expected Results: Downloaded without asking you what to do, i.e. "Open with..." or "Save to Disk"
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051007 Firefox/1.4.1 ID:2005100707 WFM. After a browser restart it downloads the file without asking.
What files are you trying to download? I do get this bug when telling Firefox to "save the files to my computer" for a Quicktime MOV file or a Windows WMV file. I set this option in tools. However as soon as I click another file it will ask again. I have rebooted also. Zip files etc seem to work fine. They automatically download for me.
Please reopen only if you find that the problematic URL you didn't let us see is *not* using a Content-Disposition header. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 236541 ***
