User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.3) KHTML/3.3.2 (like Gecko) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050322 On a Linux system, go to http://tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/, then before the download be fully completed, select "Today's TV" from the left hand menu. If the browser hasn't got frozen yet, press the "Go back one page" button from the browser menu bar. Then the browser is likely to hang and the process needs to be killed. Apart from Mozilla 1.7.6, this has been observed with Firefox 1.0.7. However Netscape 7.2 seems to behave fine in that respect. This is reproductible most of the time. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://tvguide.ninemsn.com.au/ 2. quickly select "Today's TV" from the left hand menu 3. Actual Results: The browser hangs Expected Results: Keep working
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051010 SeaMonkey/1.1a Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 Update 5 crashed using tinderbox BuildID 2005100901, no talkback, crashed when changing to another tab and deleting the tab containing the website. crashed using nightly BuildID 2005101005, Talkback, search for 311880 in comment field, when I changed to another tab and loaded a bugzilla bug entry, Java console came up (according to my settings) and crashed. As this was the only web page besides bugzilla entries in other tabs, only this could have loaded Java, and crashed. Didn't see Java in first crash. Reporter, do you have Java installed? If so, is it working on other pages?

Reporter, please don't quote 2 full comments to answer a one-line question with a line. That makes the bug unreadable, and less interesting to people reading bugs. One more question: Do you still see the bug, if you disable Java? My two crashes were Java-crashes, as you can see below. And please don't quote the text below. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051010 SeaMonkey/1.1a Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 Update 5 Incident ID: 10483733 Stack Signature JPINSCP.DLL + 0xaa87 (0x6d42aa87) da722fa9 So what I've seen at my 2nd crash was a dupe of Bug 309706 stack overflow crash [@ jpinscp.dll + 0xaa87] But at my first crash, no Talkback in Tinderbox build, I didn't see Java coming up or crashing. OK. just looked up the DocWatson Reports, both crashes are the same, in JPINSCP.DLL.
Sorry for my previous quote - It was the first time I used bugzilla and just didn't know how replying was supposed to work. To answer your question, you guessed it right: when Java is disabled, the bug doesn't seem to show up. One more precision: I thought that Nescape 7.2 was OK. I was wrong, the bug shows up also with this browser when Java is enabled.
Confirming with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051013 SeaMonkey/1.1a Crash on http://ninemsn.com.au/ during load, Talkback TB11039435E
