User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.7 (Windows/20050923) A frind of mine Peter Möller with emailadress <peterm@foo.de> sends me an E-Mail in iso-8859-1. In the Mail-Account-Settings under "Your Name" he sets: Möller, Peter In his mail the From-Line is encoded by From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?M=F6ller=2C_Peter?= <peterm@foo.de> (That's the From:-Line in the cource code of his Mail If I want to reply this mail a new window opens with two recipients 1. Möller 2. Peter <peterm@foo.de> I think Thunderbird interprets the ',' (coded by '=2c') as if a new E-Mail-Adress starts. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. in your E-Mail account rename your Name by =?iso-8859-1?Q?M=F6ller=2C_Peter?= 2. send a mail to yourself 3. reply the mail
Summary: Replying a mail opens a window with to more than one recipients → Replying to single recepient causes mail window with two recepients due to encoding
