Sorry, I haven't been able to come up with a testcase that shows the bug. Sometimes I get a too small select drop-down control at bugzilla. I'll post a screenshot. I think I've only seen this in the 2005-11-5 trunk build and not earlier, so maybe a regression from bug 314878 or bug 314879?

See the select drop-down control next to the "Component" link. It is far too small.

This is a known bug already, but I can't find the DUP at this moment.

Well, the whole select drop down is too small for me, that's a slight difference with that bug. This is a new and very recent regression, starting from 2005-11-05 builds. (I just hit the bug again when visiting this bug).

So yeah. This is a regression from bug 314879. When I switched from min-width to width for the default styling, this became an issue, given bug 98997. That is, if we resolve style first when the <select> is :empty and then it goes out of that state the width style will still be present. If this is really happening often enough to be annoying and if we're not going to fix bug 98997 in the near future (few days to a week?) I should probably switch back to min-width and file a followup to use width once bug 98997 is fixed. Thoughts?
