Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5 All Cocoa applications on MacOS X (like Safari, Mail, etc) support Emacs-like Control-shortcuts in entry-fields and textareas. Firefox doesn't. While I can understand that enabling these on Windows and Linux may create problems with other Shortcuts overlapping, this is never the case on OS X, since OS X never uses the Control key for shortcuts (but the Command key instead). So could we please have these shortcuts working in Firefox, too? In older versions of Firefox there was a very poorly documented way to change/add shortcuts (by editing platformHTMLBindings.xml), but with Firefox 1.5.RC2 this file has vanished for good. Reproducible: Always
