User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 It would be cool if there was an option to automatically login with a username and password when prompted by a HTTP Auth login. These autologins should of course be removable, so there should be some sort of list of them in the options menu. I have used such a feature with IE (phew!) before, and it worked pretty well when I had my homepage set to my school's intranet site. Getting a password prompt every time you start up the browser, or even just tries to login to a site, gets tiresome, especially when the password is already remembered, and you just need to press the "ok" button. It seems unnecessary considering I only ever log in with one username and password. This is of course a bit of a biggie, and requires some UI changes, but I was hoping it could get on the todo list, maybe for 2.0. Reproducible: Always Idea: +--------------------------------------------------------------+ | ? Enter username and password for ... | | | | User Name: | | |_____________________________| | | | | Password: | | |_____________________________| | | | | [] Use Password Manager to remember this password. | | [] Automatically login with this username and password | | in the future. | | | Cancel | | OK | | +--------------------------------------------------------------+
