On Windows and Linux (and Mac if the keyboard access option is enabled), the calendar widget should be keyboard accessible: focusable, left/right/up/down arrows should move the cursor, shift-left/right/up/down to create a selection, going left of the edge should wrap to the previous day, right of the edge should wrap to the next day, up or down should wrap to the previous/next month, page up and page down should wrap to the previous and next month, home and end should go to today. Moving (arrow keys) with the control key pressed should move the cursor without changing the selection. Moving without control pressed should move the cursor and reset the selection. Ctrl-space should add/remove the date at the cursor to/ from the selection.

I don't mind tracking all of the calendar accessibility problems in one bug, but please read the suggestions I wrote in bug 327397 about how to implement proper roles for the individual components. Accessible roles are not really related to the keyboard problems mentioned in this bug; you can easily fix one without the other. If they all get fixed at the same time, I don't care, but if you check in proper keyboard navigation without fixing the roles, I'm reopening bug 327397.

Places-dependent, retargeting for Firefox 3.
Target Milestone: Firefox 2 beta1 → Firefox 3
If we ever restore parts of this UI it will based on the new shared calendar widget (see bug 92174).

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
