User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fi; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fi; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 Selection remove privacy information is on and user starts using the browser again, program ask permission to clean up privacy information and if answer is yes. after that when user close the browser Firefox remains in the task list. Reproducible: Always
Does that also happen if you disable all extensions and themes?
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051221 Firefox/1.6a1 ID:2005122121 So you mean that Firefox shows the Private Data window on closing Firefox AND on startup? In that case it seems related to or a duplicate of Bug 314755. The problem is that I can't reproduce this with a new clean profile. Try creating a new profile (and keep the old one on your disk in case someone wants to see it). New profile: close Firefox, click on your Windows Start button and type %appdata% in your Run box. Rename the folder Mozilla to _Mozilla and start Firefox again. To restore your settings you can copy important files like bookmarks.html cookies.txt, hostperm.1, signons.txt, key3.db from the old renamed profile to the same spot in the new one.
And don't forget to kill first all the processes firefox.exe in your taskmanager otherwise Windows will refuse to let you rename the old profile.
Reporter told me by e-mail that the problem is resolved by removing Firefox and reinstalling it.

This problem still happening with me everyday. I'm using Win98SE, and after each DeerPark's daily update my browser start but do not connect with nothing... My steps: Help -> Check for Updates... * Install the updates and choose Restart... * The updates will be installed; * DeerPark do not start ( should, right? ) Start DeerPark and try to connect to www.mozilla.org (do not work) Close DeerPark Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and see DeerPark in task list Everytime that I install updates I got this behavior. So I think this issue is not fixed. I'm using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051221 Firefox/1.6a1
