Used the leak-gauge.pl script that dbaron created to determine this.

1) Homepage set as about:blank
2) all extensions disabled
3) default theme
4) Start firefox, type in mail.yahoo.com (make sure you are on the beta for yahoo! mail first via 'http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/landing' you might have to be a Yahoo! Mail Plus subscriber)
5) type in user name/password, after login complete and you see the inbox close firefox and run perl script.

Output when ran three times:

Could you retest in tomorrow's trunk build (perhaps even after comparing to today's)?

If it still exists, leak-monitor ( http://dbaron.org/mozilla/leak-monitor ) may provide some useful information.

leak-monitor extension doesn't alert me of any leaks following the steps on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061117 Minefield/3.0a1 ID:2006111704 [cairo]

Can't test with the leak-gauge.pl perl script though so I can't confirm if this is still present or not.

Can we close this 6 years old bug? Yahoo! Mail beta has been refreshed many times since this bug report.

It seems we have problems also with the latest version of Yahoo! Mail, marking this as duplicate of the newer bug.
