Connection to server pop3.xxx.yyy timed out (from TB 1.5 and above). In TB 1.0.2 or 1.0.7 everything working right at the same time (i have installed 1.0.2, 1.0.7 and 1.5 paralelly)!!! When I click on recieve messages button [v] and choose one of my mails I obtained this error "Connection to server pop3.xxx.yyy timed out.", where xxx is free mail provider (seznam, centrum, atlas) and yyy is their domain (e.g. cz). I am on 100Mbit university LAN after Cisco PIX firewall. I repat it: this bug come from TB 1.5 and above, in 1.0.2 and 1.0.7 everything working right. This error in TB 1.5 is very often, but not always (may be 80%) and sometimes i download e.g. 50% mails and then connection timed out. I also tried in config increase Connection time from 60 to 600 second, but without successful.

Do you use MS Win XP on multi-core or HyperThreading?
If yes, see Bug 315420(POP3 case) and Bug 307527(IMAP case).

Yes, i have Athlon 64 X2 3800+. I can not find quite similar bug before in bugzilla. Now i solved it: in boot.ini i was add /usepmtimer:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer
