When you sort by date and you have activated the threading then are the threads with the latest postings at the end or beginning from the ThreadPane.
If you receive new messages over the function "Get New Messages" then the new messages would be sort in the threads, but the threads wouldn't sort after the thread with the latest posting.
When you receive new messages when you enter a folder with these kind of order so the threads would be sort after the thread with the latest posting.

I think so. Yesterday I wasn't sure.
If is possible that this bug is in the back end and not in the front end?

I'm sure that's true. We've already got some suite bugs duped to that one;
I'll move it to Core.
