Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Paste an spam-protected email address such as "root [at] hotmail [dot] com" into the email field. 2. Try to edit it to look like "root@hotmail.com" Actual Results: The autocomplete feature keeps adding my own email domain name to the end of the address, making editing impossible. Expected Results: The software should have let me edit the address without interference.

The problem is not due to the spaces in the address, but to the lack of an '@'. The workaround is to select the " at " part, then type @ to replace it; that will prevent further attempts at autocompletion, and you can then edit the rest of the string without the "@domain" being constantly added to the end of the string. Also, you can turn off the autocomplete-to-domain feature; see bug 93453. xref bug 131692

I can't reproduce this today. "root [at] hotmail [dot] com" is not autocompleted to anything.
