Overview Description:
When Mozilla opens a new window it has to decide what size to make it.
Currently it chooses to make it the size of the last window that was opened or
resized, whether that window was opened/resized by the user or by JavaScript code.
This means that if a JavaScript script opens a small window for some purpose
(f.e. an advertisement), and the user subsequently opens an additional window
for browsing, the user's new window will be as small as the JavaScript-opened
window instead of what the user probably wants: a window the same size as their
current browsing window.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) In a regular-sized browsing window, open the test case I will attach.
JavaScript code in the test case will open a 300x300 pixel window.
2) Open an additional browsing window via File -> New Navigator Window.
Actual Results:
A 300x300 pixel window opens.
Expected Results:
A normal browsing sized window opens.
Build Date & Platform Bug Found: Linux 2000-03-24-09
