Problem encountered because of Unix Directory Permissions

Details
Just tried to download a file twice into a secured directory. The response
through me for a second. Mozilla reported encountering an unknown error then
aborted the download. The problem was repeatable. The destination directory was
root-owned and not opened to public writes.
The problem was corrected when the file was downloaded into a user-writable
directory. Current build id is 2000032309.

samurai@acm.org - I take it you were not running as root at the time? And your
problem is that Mozilla does not give a descriptive enough error?

Sounds like we need a better dialog when we don't have permission to write to a
file. Sending to XPApps. If you guys don't own these dialogs can you send this
to the person who does. Thanks

This is a DUP of bug 27609, "Need more informative alert for file save failure",
M15, a leftover from bug 23821, "No write permission on file: save file dies;
no alert".
