User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Thunderbird 1.5 Dutch When I try to import mail from Netscape Communicator 4.5 (or other Communicator) from the import menu (from extra = Tools?) I get Communicator 4.x profiles, but I cannot enter a profile, because it is not possible to type (enter) a name there, The keyboard is blocked. Please let it read the profile. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Extra 2.Importeren 3. E-mail 4. Communicator 4.x 5. Comunicator 4.x profiles 6. I cannot enter any letter Actual Results: I cannot type Expected Results: I expect that I can enter the name of a user profile, but nothinh happebs I want to import e-mail from a user of the old NC 4.5
Shouldn't there be a list of profiles to choose from? Here it says something like "Select your profile" so i assume some profiles should be pre-filed as a list there (does it not say to select a profile in your version of Thunderbird?). Is Netscape 4.5 closes while you're trying to import the mails?
You replied: "Shouldn't there be a list of profiles to choose from? Is Netscape 4.5 closes while you're trying to import the mails?" No, in the window "Select your profile" there don't appeares a list of profiles, so I cannot click on a profile or user. Outlook express can well import the old email of Netscape 4.5. Of course I have on my new PC not the whole Netscape 4.5 installed, I have only copied the directories in which the profiles and the mail exist. But Outlook Express can handle that, Thunderbird cannot.
Do you select the Netscape 4.5 profile folder then in Outlook Express? That's of course something different to what Thunderbird does...
Why "of course"? I have a new computer. So I cannot copy the whole old netscape 4.5 program to my new PC. That is also not necessary for Outlook Express, OE only needs the map with the 4.5 profile. I would appreciate if Thunderbird can doe the same. Now it is not possible to move the old e-mail to my new pc.
Netscape 4 importers are being (or have been) ripped out from trunk nightlies. -> invalid.
