The first two logs show failure with exactly the same error and the third one shows success, even though there weren't any checkins between the second and the third.
This isn't the first time it happened, but I don't remember if the other times it was also boxset or a different tinderbox. To quote shaver: "with a bug, we can track it!"
It's ultimately caused by a bug in make 3.79.1, which is part of the Xcode 1.x toolchain used on Macs running 10.3. Reducing parallelism (no "make -j") may help. Installing and using a different make (such as 3.80) would also help. Updated makes are available through fink or darwinports.

Most Mac tinderboxen are going to be upgraded to 10.4, which uses Xcode 2.x, which contains make 3.80.
Depends on: 334456
This will get fixed when we upgrade all the Mac Tinderboxen (which will be soon; some required hardware was ordered today).
