User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 I think this is because of the proxy; the auto-search will not work Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set a proxy server 2. type wikipedia in address bar 3. error page comes up (useless) Actual Results: The requested URL could not be retrieved While trying to retrieve the URL: http://wikipedia/ The following error was encountered: Unable to determine IP address from host name for wikipedia The dnsserver returned: Name Error: The domain name does not exist. This means that: The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct. Your cache administrator is sysadmins@kalamazoo.k12.mi.us. Generated Fri, 05 May 2006 14:40:18 GMT by adm010.kalamazoo.k12.mi.us (squid/2.5.STABLE5) Expected Results: redirected i hate proxy servers; they are sort of spyware and redirects, but i have to use them. i think this would improve the integrity of the browser if it wasn't pushed around quite so much by proxy servers
reporter, please update to 1.5.0.3 or 1.5.0.4 and see if you still have this problem.
