Also why not external URL launch in javascript is considered equivalent to pop-up window and blocked?

open noscript_tagsrc_test.html

Test 2
open script_tagsrc_test.html
click "Run Test" button

For testing before opening test page make sure
* network.protocol-handler.external-default
* network.protocol-handler.external.mailto
* network.protocol-handler.external.news
* network.protocol-handler.external.nntp
* network.protocol-handler.external.snews
in your about:config is true
and also not forget to set them false after this test
