downloading my newspaper at http://www.volkskrant.nl/vk-online/today.html gives no picture anymore while it worked fine all the time. IE works fine.....

- Select carefully "http://www.volkskrant.nl/vk-online/today.html" and nothing more
- Paste it somewhere
- Result: although the last letter "l" in "html" was included, it shows only "http://www.volkskrant.nl/vk-online/today.htm"
Selecting exactly the same in non-cairo builds gives a correct result.

Problem with measurement vs. rendering. We currently measure/render different things, so things like kerning and the like play havoc with selection. I think we'll be able to fix it before the textframe rewrite, but maybe not.

I'm not sure if my checkin for 340590 fixed this or not, but I can't reproduce it.

In my duplicate bug, further investigation of that case seems to point to the y, then comma, and then space as where things start to go wonky...

Go to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356313
Try to mark "The Hello World" untder the email address, the letter "d" isn't marked. Inserting this results in errors (wrong letters shown at writing).

This is not the same bug as this; this is specific to the trunk cairo-thebes builds, where the behaviour you describe in the testcase happens with Bon Echo.
