note there are two prefs:
"browser.tabs.warnOnOpen", bool, and there is pref UI for this.
"browser.tabs.maxOpenBeforeWarn", integer, defaults to 15, there is no UI for this (but you could use about:config to change it.

Thanks for the info. I meant to document just the UI (the checkbox you added to the Tabs pane of the pref window).
