confirm repro, was looking for a place to report this. Is it possible this was introduced in 2.0? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361027 Possibly related? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350086 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319196 Thanks for all the hard work, folks! :)
> confirm repro, was looking for a place to report this. justin, are you on trunk or branch? (mac or windows?) if a recent trunk, I think you might be seeing #364018 from my original comments: "[places] unable to drag links onto personal toolbar folders or the bookmarks menu, like I can in 1.5 / 2.0", that comes from bug #341830, where I wrote: "in addition to bug #342357 (where this doesn't work on the trunk), I think there may be issues if we try to do this." I think I logged this bug when mark was helping me with #341830 on the mac trunk, and places was enabled. as for the other issues you list, I don't think they are related to places. although this bug was logged earlier, bug #364018 has a patch started, so marking it as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 364018 ***

This is a Gran Paradiso Alpha, so trunk-ish I assume, but not sure how recent. I do believe you are correct that this is a dup of 364018. Thanks for your time!

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
