Again we have problems with www.idg.se, Cairo builds only. Non Cairo builds like Firefox 1.5.0.4 or Bon Echo Alpha 3 are not affected. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open http://www.idg.se 2. Page will not load fully, memory usage and swap space are skyrocketing 3. Everything becomes unresponsive It is not only the Windows version, also Linux and Seamonkey behaves in a similar way. It looks like www.idg.se has become a good testcase for Cairo. Nevertheless www.idg.se is a very important site for computer professionals in Sweden. I would appreciate if someone could have a look what is going on and hopefully fix it soon.

Can you test a trunk build with cairo disabled? Bon Echo is pretty far away from the trunk, even when not considering cairo.

I don't believe this is a cairo issue, but a javascript running amuk I disabled javascript and the page loads right up, however.. with javascript enabled I see the memory being consumed at the rate of 1meg/2 sec and the CPU is jammed at 100% The devs' really need to find a way to detect and kill run-away javascripts IMO Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060629 Minefield/3.0a1,Firefox ID:2006062904 [cairo]

The same thing happens with a non-cairo trunk nightly. All I have to block is http://adserver.adtech.de/ to get the page to load normally. And unless I'm mistaken Håkan refers to this site in bug 335251 comment #24. Per Ria's comment over to DOM: Events.

Duh I just noticed this site is also in the status whiteboard of bug 335251. Dupe this bug to that or bug 339337 (suite bug)?

I have now tested the proposed patch in bug 335251, and indeed it solves my www.idg.se issue. I looked at this patch before, and I thought it had already been applied. A month ago or so- www.idg.se worked fine, until about a week ago. So it looks like the guys at idg changed something then... Thank you for reacting so quickly.
