This makes it a pain-in-the-**** to alt-tab to check spelling etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open firefox 2.Open another window 3.focus the search box in FF 4.type something in 5.focus the other window 6.re-focus firefox 7.witness the selected contents of the serch box. note that if you forget that firefox does this, you accidentally erase the search box contents if trying to add to it. Actual Results: search box contents is selected. if not paying attention, search box contents is deleted upon trying to add to it. Expected Results: search box is focused but not selected. more often than not, folowing search-box-focus, non-firefox-focus, firefox refocus, contents needs to be ADDED to the search box, not REPLACED with the current contents. only a very minor annoyance tbh. Also note that ctrl+k focuses and selects the contents of the search box, which imo is the most sensible choice if ctrl+k is pressed.
