See upcoming testcase, when clicking the 3 alerts away (2 from the flash file and 1 from js), current trunk Mozilla builds crash. This regressed between 2006-05-09 and 2006-05-10. Most likely a regression from bug 326273. I added the js alert in the testcase, to make it show that before the threadmanager patch, javascript and rendering also (I think) stops as soon as the flash alert is displayed), but after the threadmanager patch not anymore. The js alert should not fire directly after the first flash alert.

Ah, sorry, you need to download the testcase to your computer, the flash alerts won't appear otherwise. It's a "MacroMedia has stopped a potentially unsafe operation, etc" kind of alert.

Martijn, isn't it a dupe of bug 200511?

Not a dupe of bug 200511, because this regressed when bug 326273 got fixed. Bug 200511 is older.

Martijn, do you still see this? I can't recreate - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b4pre) Gecko/2008021504

Looks like a crasher for Flash and could probably be fixed meanwhile...

The Flash Player team has tested this bug and we don't reproduce the crash with Win Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Flash Player 9r115, the latest release. So, if this is a trunk crash only, it seems the bug is in Firefox.

I'm still seeing this crash. Michelle, yes, this is a regression only happening on trunk, but thanks for testing. I'm on windowsXP using Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115 Player. I attached a stacktrace from my debug build. It seems to indicate the crash is happening in the Flash Player. If you could give me a Flash Player with symbols in it, I could tell you where it is crashing.

Ok, it seems to be wfm in current trunk build. Let's call it worksforme then.
