Spun-off from bug 341949. One option is to lay out the checkboxes in two columns.

This may not be trivial to do, but I think it would be worth it, not only because it's less likely that text gets cut off, but it also would look much better to not have such a big empty space in that groupbox at the top.

Well, since this is about eliminating the risk of startup options breaking the pane and it's possible to overlay a bunch of additional items, it's still true. But the pane isn't cut-of atm (mac classic).

Hmm, it can never be eliminated completely, unless we hide it in a popup or so, the risk can only be reduced. And I think the risk is currently reduced enough that a bit can be added/overlayed there, right?

I'm fine with closing this as wontfix, since comment #1 indicates that it's not trivial and I don't think it's worth the effort.
