Thunderbird doesn't have a cookie manager? I can't find one anyway :) Comment 0 indicates you're using a trunk development build of Firefox, aptly named "Minefield", and a two week old one at that -- these are expected to break occasionally. That's no cookie manager, it's called the Certificate manager -- updating summary. And no, I could not reproduce on latest trunk (linux).
