Details

TB 1.5.0.5, 2a1-0901, 3a1-0907, SM 1.5a-0817 When creating a new mail account, junk controls are enabled but the "Move junk..." setting is disabled. Once it's been enabled, the junk folder is not created; this causes junk to remain in the Inbox. Steps to reproduce [1.8.1/trunk]: 1) Create a new profile, then a new POP account 2) From Account Properites, go to Junk Settings 3) Select [x] Move new junk messages 4) Click OK Actual results: 4) No 'Junk' folder created under account Expected results: 4) 'Junk' folder created under account (and given the Junk Folder icon) I'm not sure if this is technically a regression, but TB 1.0 behaves as expected: when OK is clicked, the new Junk folder is created. If the folder is created under the account, it does get the Junk Folder icon immediately. Interestingly, if I click on this folder, the mouse cursor goes to 'busy' (over the folder & thread panes) and doesn't revert without exiting, but that's a side effect. If the account is created in a profile already containing an account, the suggested account for the junk folder is the existing account rather than the new one (or Local Folders, for a new Global Inbox account) -- this is true even if PreviousAccount doesn't have its own junk folder or even if doesn't have junk enabled. Similarly, the default "Other" folder is "Junk on PreviousAccount". Maybe that's a separate bug; if it, let me know and I'll open it. (OT: It would be cool if the "Other" folder defaulted to an existing "Junk on Local Folders," if that exists, and then to "Junk on PreviousAccount," as those are likely choices -- but these should only occur for folders that are Junk. If no junk folder exists, "Other" is almost pointless unless the user wants to use an existing non-junk folder; and if the user does want an "Other" folder, it likely will be a folder not yet created -- e.g. SPAM on Local Folders -- requiring, under Windows at least, exiting Account Settings to create the folder.)
