Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start thunderbird. 2. wait for message "do you want to compact folders" 3. click yes. Actual Results: 26 unread messages, 171 total becomes 0, 0 after compaction. after a restart, it becomes 26, 171 again. Expected Results: 26, 171 all the time until new message arrive or old ones deleted.
