Details

TB 3a1-1009, Win2K. I know this has been the case with earlier builds, but I don't have a regression range yet. 2b1-1004 behaves correctly. The edit fields in a compose window opened from an external program (Firefox, Opera) using Send Link do not respond to arrow keys or home/end, page-up/page-down. This only happens if a 3-pane window is already open -- if the program is started by executing the mailto, the compose window behaves correctly. Regular typing, <del> and <bksp> work OK. Steps to reproduce: 1) Have TB running 2) Open a page in Firefox; select: File | Send Link 3) In compose window, shift focus to Subject or Body; attempt to navigate using arrow keys or home/end Actual results: 3) no response to keys Expected results: 3) keys work fine
Hm. This appears to be related to the issue at bug 353906: the problem only occurs if TB 3a1 is the default mail program but hasn't been (properly? completely?) specified as the MAPI client. If (e.g.) a downrev (2b1) version of TB has been specified as the default mailer/MAPI client but 3a1 is running, then the Send Link action creates a properly operating compose window.
Summary: Nav keys fail in body and subject for compose window via Send Link → Arrow/Nav keys fail in body and subject for compose window via Send Link
this sounds like Bug 355312 too.
