errr, i'm not sure if i miss the point, but there is no font-face rule in CSS declaration 1 or 2. the CSS equal for HTML '<FONT FACE= ...>' would be 'font-family:'.
You miss the point. @font-face allows declaring font faces to be associated with font names and is in CSS2.
