This is probably caused by an incompatible extension or a corrupted profile. Start Firefox in its safe-mode to exclude extension problems. Actually, according to your half-1.5.0.7 and half-2.0 user-agent string, it's caused by a bug in the installer, that it will go ahead when Firefox is still running (under another user, or some other way) even though it won't be able to overwrite some files. If you uninstall, delete the Firefox directory in Program Files, and reinstall fresh, it ought to recover just fine. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 357922 ***
