Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5.0.7 (20060909) When I type a text larger than one line into a compose window, such as: ----------- There is something to be said for testing email stuff. I mean, really, it’s kinda cool if you think about it. ----------- ...it wraps the line at the appropriate place. Then if you add a word at/near the beginning, to get this: ----------- There really is something to be said for testing email stuff. I mean, really, it’s kinda cool if you think about it. ----------- ...it updates the wrap accordingly. However, if you save the message, then open it back up and THEN add the word near/at the beginning, what you get is this: -------------- There really, really is something to be said for testing email stuff. I mean, really, it’s kinda cool if you think about it. -------------- As you can see, Thunderbird has added a literal line break after “I mean, really,” that was not in the message before it was saved. Needless to say, this creates problems if you’re working on something over several email sessions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See above. Actual Results: extra line break Expected Results: No extra line break. This seems too obvious not to have been reported already, but I really couldn’t find it in bugzilla.
