The blinking text cursor has a small fleck or extension in some text boxes on some websites. See attachment for example.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
A specific example is the search box on Google Calendar.
Fleck is to the left, towards the top of the cursor.

That's the bidirectional input cursor, and is the expected appearance (though
admittedly it can be startling).
