My school newsgroup with the University of Phoenix will hang when I access the classroom newsgroup and fail to check remainder of the folders. The newsgroup has 5 folders and hangs on the "write only" access folder which is the 2nd of 5.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Thunderbird
2. checks 2 email accounts
3. checks classroom newsgroup
4. checks newsgroup 1 of 5.
5. checks newsgroup 2 of 5 and error 'A News (NNTP) error occured: no permission **this is the write only access folder**
6. Rest of newsgroup folders goes unchecked.
Actual Results:
Once the NNTP error box 'ok' has been clicked, TB continues "checking newsgroup for new messages" and I have to manually stop the current transfer and update the remaining folders manually.
Expected Results:
Upon acknowledging the 'no permission' error, TB to continue checking for new posts on the remaining newsgroup folders
Outlook Express automatically checks the remaining newsgroup folders for new messages after acknowledging the "permission" error.
