User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) Build Identifier: I downloaded and installed the new FireFox 2.0 update and now I can no longer click the down button to the right of the URL line and instantly go to any previous site I have been to via the drop-down window. The sites are still displayed, but clicking on them simply closes the window, and I remain at the same site. In addition, I was previously able to just click the cursor in the URL line and the entire line would highlight so that I could type in a new URL -- this does not work this way since loading 2.0. I now have to click three times rapidly in succession to accomplish the same thing. I tried to do a System Restore on my computer to a few days prior to the install, but it still remains! I thought it would revert back to the earlier version of FireFox. Is there currently a site available to download and re-install an earlier version (after first removing the current version)? I am running Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 on a modest computer system (AMD Processor running at 1.19 GHz; 256 MB of RAM). I have never had any problems with previous upgrades in Firefox... I certainly hope this is not the beginning of a new trend for Mozilla, or it's back to IE (ugh!!) Currently, I am forced to use that app now. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: All this is covered in the "Details" section above. Expected Results: All this is covered in the "Details" section above. Should have worked the same as in earlier versions (prior to 2.0).
A reinstall in a new clean empty folder will probably do the job. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 357922 ***

In case this is not caused by leftovers in the install folder (the problem is very difficult to analyze from a distance and incompatible extensions can do very weirds things too) try running Firefox in its safe-mode or try a new profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38
