Firefox freezes when attempting to set the fonts After 3 attempts I somehow managed to set those fonts, but after quiting the browser and restarting, those settings are not remembered.

With a default profile, in about:config, the specified font-name is still the one use by QuickDraw: user_pref("font.name.sans-serif.ja", "ヒラギノ角ゴ Pro W3"); But this is not recognised by ATSUI, used by Cairo. --- This also affects Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

I think that you are not looking the default settings in the drop down list in pref dialog. But it's a designed in current status. We need to discuss for these ways for the *another* issue. 1. Should we remove font traits from all.js? 2. Should we add font traits in GetFontList?

-> FIXED by bug 362665. Note this issue is fixed on the level of gfx/thebes. But you can show the problem on pref dialogs, the several default settings are not shown.(e.g., the Japanese fonts.) But it is another layer bug. I'll file the bug.
