I'm filing this as a follow-up from bug 324963. That bug is mostly fixed, but when I stop over a menu-item the highlighting effect suddenly disappears. Steps to reproduce: 1. Click and hold down the left mouse button on any top-level menu item (Help, for instance). 2. Now, still holding the left mouse button, scroll through the menu-items. 3. Now hold still over one of the menu-items. Actual result: The highlighting disappears within 100ms. (I'm cc-ing you Neil, because of bug 324963, comment 65. Maybe the patch for bug 279703 changes things) Expected result: The highlighting should have stayed on the menu-item where you are hovered over.

This is still happening in current trunk build. Asking for blocking1.9?, since this is a regression and bug 324963 was blocking1.9+.

This works for me now. Seems to have been fixed between 2007-11-15-05 and 2007-11-16-05.
